Overview |
Throughout my years at Georgia Tech, I worked as the visual and communication designer at several academic departments. My responsibilities focused on marketing lab researches to the general public. This included building websites to present researches, creating visual assets for web pages, and designing print materials for academic events.

These are the constraints that I worked with on a daily basis. Every visual design was tied to these elements.

Desktop Web Banners
I used fun titles and graphics to tell the story of obscure researches to the general public. The flavor of the design was catered towards different departments - some were more academic and serious while others preferred to be more easy-going.
Social Media Mini Covers
For every research published online, Georgia Tech also promotes it via social media like Facebook and Twitter. I created covers tailored to phone screen sizes.

Below is a series of poster design that we posted on social media to visualize popular undergoing researches and form a marketing campaign to draw attention from the audience. I created the graphics and designed activities (scavenger hunt game in the graphics - there is a GT logo in each of the image. The first 100 who find all of them get a prize).
